When bananas start to over-ripen, peel them, 1/2 them, freeze them, then add them to smoothies as needed for nutrients, fiber and an extra creamy texture. Bananas become more nutrient dense as the ripen, and will keep frozen for 3-4 months. Here: 1 cup purified water, 1 whole frozen banana, 2 tablespoons raw cacao, 2 tablespoons almond butter, dash of cinnamon and ice in the blender. YUM.
